PetFlip is operated by PetFlip Market, based in the United Kingdom. We are the data controller for personal data collected through petflip.co.uk. You can contact us at petflipmarket@gmail.com.

2. What data we collect

We collect your email address, username, and profile information when you create an account via Clerk. We collect payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we never see your full card details). We collect trade history including items bought and sold, transaction amounts, and timestamps. We collect basic usage data such as pages visited and actions taken on the platform.

3. How we use your data

We use your data to operate the platform and process transactions, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and enforce our terms, send you important notifications about your trades, and improve our service. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

4. Third party services

We use Clerk for authentication and user management. We use Stripe for payment processing and seller payouts. We use Supabase to store listing and trade data. Each of these providers has their own privacy policy and handles your data in accordance with UK GDPR.

5. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Trade records are retained for 7 years for financial compliance purposes. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing petflipmarket@gmail.com.
